Time with the Girlfriends

We were fortunate this past month to spend time with some friends. Emma got to hang out with Mahalia and Aariyah, which was a lot of fun. Unfortunately getting three kids to look at the camera at the same time was literally impossible, so this was the best I could get!
The two older girls got totally busted eating crackers in Mahalia's room! After their little reprimand, they were back out in the living room having a crazy dance party!

Aariyah was even into shaking the booty!

Last weekend, one of my dear friends Sherry came over to give Emma a mini-ballet lesson. Somehow Emma convinced her to go into the ball pit! =) Emma really loved hanging out with her! (And so did I!)
I got a taste of what being a mama of three would be like today! I "babysat" for Kayla and 6 month old Baby Annabella while their mom and daddy went to a wedding. Emma and Kayla loved playing together!

Emma and Annabella could almost be mistaken for sisters! Gave Emma some good practice holding a baby. She loved loved loved the baby!
The girls played dress up and looked mighty adorable in their princess get-up!

Kayla took a photo so I could get a glimpse of me with two! (Not bad if I do say so myself!) I will put this down in writing but as of right now, I am mighty convinced that Baby Bean is a beefy little boy. My pregnancy has been much easier than Emma's (even though her's was not much to complain about). I feel like I'm carrying a bit differently, but who knows! I have just approached the 15 week mark so we should be able to find out if Bean is a he or she in just about a month!
The bi-weekly belly shot. (Don't mind my bad hair or the dark circles under my eyes....it was a looooong day!) My final mention in the post is not a shout-out to a girlfriend, but a shout out to a new boy friend for Emma! Mason Jonas Ratner was born this past week to our dear dear friends Hilary and Dave! We are so happy for them! Larry was at the hospital to welcome baby Mason and hopefully I will get to hold this sweet baby very soon.

We are braving a 3-day family trip to Disneyland tomorrow as an early birthday celebration for Ms. Emma. I can hardly believe she will already be 3 in a couple of weeks! Le sigh....time really does fly! I promise to post lots of pictures!

One of my many cravings

Oh yeah Cheesecake Factory....I officially love you! This goodness is Chocolate Coconut Cream Cheesecake. There was not a photo (and I devoured it too quickly to take one!) but their Pineapple Upside Down Cheesecake is TO DIE FOR!!!!! At my second dr. appointment last Monday, the doctor came in, looked at my chart, looked at me, looked perplexed while looking at my chart again and said, "Um, you don't weigh 169 pounds do you?" Gasp. While I have been eating like the Apocolypse might be coming and food may never be available again, no, I had NOT gained FORTY pounds since my appointment one month ago. Apparently the nurse had been smoking crack and somehow morphed my weight and height and blood pressure (I actually have no idea what the eff she did!). The appointment went well. Got to hear a strong heartbeat. Doctor asked if I had any complaints or questions and all I asked was to make sure I got to hear the heartbeat because I was still convinced I was not pregnant. Started to feel those cute little baby flutters this week. =) Hopefully this child will not turn out to be a belly break dancer like Emma was. Feeling strong boy vibes with this one, but Emma is convinced she is going to have a sister. I guess one of us will be right! =) Anyhow, food on the  brain once again. Time to go eat. Did I make you hungry? =)

First Trimester...Done-zo!

Once I get behind on blogging, it hurts my brain to try to back track. So present day, things are great. Had a great two weeks off and a tiring week back to work last week. 9 more weeks of work to go until summer vacation! Woo hoo! This will be the first summer I have ever had off and I can NOT wait.

After a horrific experience and 9 daycare visits later, I finally found a school for Emma and Baby Bean. They will be going to the East County Montessori in Lakeside. Yes, they will be little east county kids, but it is less than 5 minutes from my work and I just had a very good feel of the place. Emma goes for a half day visit at the end of May and will hopefully start in July. It is amazing how shitty some daycares are and it amazes me even more that at some places there are actually parents willing to send their kids there. But I think we have a good fit for our family so that is a huge weight off of my shoulders. =)

Well, while Emma is out of the house with daddy at Chuck E. Cheese, I need to get busy on some lesson plans. I will be out two days this week for a training and out two days the following week for Emma's first trip to Disneyland. Hopefully I won't be the size of a fricking house by then! All I can do is eat and think about food. It's a problem. I am eating hot cheetohs and an orange as we speak. =)
